I’M OFTEN WRONG BUT NEVER UNSURE
LYRICS
I’m often wrong but never unsure,
Each mistake is a lesson to store.
With every test, I strengthen my core.
With each wrong turn, I open a door.
Being wrong’s not always bad,
With each setback, don’t be sad.
Each slip or trip, I’m still strong,
I’ve kept growing by being wrong,
There’s nothing wrong, with being wrong,
It’s how our core grows ever strong.
Life’s a puzzle, I’m keen to explore,
Cause I’m often wrong but never unsure.
“Must be right” – that bridge I burned,
Seeking the truth is my only concern.
On the road less traveled, I explore.
Every wrong path, a chance to restore.
I am curious and often wrong,
Mistakes I’ve made, help me along.
On this voyage, I’m set to explore.
Every lesson learned; I can’t ignore.
There’s nothing wrong, with being wrong,
It’s how our core grows ever strong.
Life’s a puzzle, I’m keen to explore,
Cause I’m often wrong but never unsure.
Cause I’m loving the fall, then rising above,
In errors, I find the things I’m made of.
Embrace the change, let viewpoints spin,
With every twist, a new chapter begins.
There’s nothing wrong, with being wrong,
It’s how our core grows ever strong.
Life’s a puzzle, I’m keen to explore,
Cause I’m often wrong but never unsure.
An open heart, an open mind,
Across the stars, new worlds I find.
With each trial faced, I learn even more
Cause I’m often wrong but never unsure
But never unsure
INSPIRATION
The song “Often Wrong, But Never Unsure” is about embracing the idea that being wrong is not always a bad thing. I view mistakes as lessons to learn from, and how every wrong turn is an opportunity to grow and explore. It’s about how being wrong can help strengthen one’s core, and how it’s important to seek the truth, admit mistakes and embrace change. The song is about having an open heart and mind, and how every trial faced is a chance to learn and grow. This is me in a nutshell. I go Mach 2 with my hair on fire until I realize I’m headed in the wrong direction, so I’ll change direction and head in a new direction without slowing down. I’m not a planner, so I do the minimum needed to understand the general direction and target and then I learn by doing and continually course correct. I like to take a step and figure it out as I go. I make it a baby step if needed but enough to get past the ‘Analysis Paralysis’ stage. That is what I was trying to convey in this song. The words in the song, “There’s nothing wrong with being wrong,” are a core concept to me. I wasn’t sure whether that would be the title or the secondary hook. In the end I chose, ‘I’m often wrong but never unsure’ as that was so true of me, but it could have gone either way.
