The Dirt That Raised Me

The Dirt That Raised Me - Savage Thunder Music

You can rise high—but the dirt that raised you walks with you..
“The Dirt That Raised Me” is one of those songs that poured out of my bones more than my brain. I wasn’t just writing lyrics—I was writing my fingerprint. I wanted it to feel like the stomp of a boot on hardwood floors, the sweat on a collar after a day's work, and the echo of a gospel hum in a smoky bar. It’s about carrying where you came from, not washing it off when the lights hit you. Every word in the chorus—“The dirt that raised me still clings to my boots”—was designed to honor resilience, not just as a virtue, but as a birthright. The pre-choruses ask real, unfiltered questions we face when we’ve outgrown the place we came from but still feel it pulsing in our blood. I didn’t want polished answers—I wanted honest ones.

Stolen From The Future

Stolen From The Future - Savage Thunder Music

All the time spent perfecting the past is stolen from the future that's still waiting..
“Stolen From the Future” came from a quiet war inside me—between clinging to old versions of myself and reaching for the life still waiting. I was trying to edit the past like a manuscript, thinking if I just got it right, maybe I’d finally feel at peace. But that peace lives forward. “Stolen From the Future” is a reclaiming. It’s a promise I whispered to myself, then shouted, born from the ache of hindsight and the liberation of perspective. I was stuck—mentally, emotionally—looping the past like an old tape reel. Every second spent regretting stole something from the life I still hadn’t lived. This song became my reckoning with that idea: that the past isn’t the villain, but how I kept clinging to it was.

Jungle Heat

Jungle Heat - Savage Thunder Music

Some loves don’t warm you—they burn you alive.
When I wrote “Jungle Heat”, I wanted to bottle the sensation of falling for someone who’s equal parts temptation and destruction. The metaphor of a chili grown in the jungle by inmates of an insane asylum was the spark from a Simpsons episode. From there, the jungle became a metaphor for lust, danger, mystery, and emotional madness. Everything is feral, humid, volatile. And love? It’s just the most dangerous vine in the wild.

The Exiled Child

The Exiled Child - Savage Thunder Music

Every scar tells the truth exile tried to silence..
I named this piece “The Exiled Child” because that’s what the song has always been at its core—a reckoning with the parts of ourselves we once abandoned to survive. It’s the voice of someone who was cast out—sometimes by others, often by their own hand—and slowly made their way back not to who they were, but to who they chose to become. I wrote it from the inside out. This wasn’t just about scars; it was about why I kept walking with them. Every stanza is a step—from silence to truth, from shame to self-forgiveness, from exile to return.

Saints had pasts sinners got futures

Saints and Sinners - Savage Thunder Music

Saints had pasts. Sinners got futures. This is for every soul still rising.
This song was born from fire and forgiveness—from the raw, beating truth that no one is only their worst day or their cleanest moment. I’ve lived on both sides of grace—felt the judgment, carried the labels, and watched people write my story before I even turned the page. I wanted to write an anthem for every comeback kid, for anyone who’s been trapped by who they were and needed a reminder: you’re not stuck there.

Like The Devil Loves Sin

Like The Devil Loves Sin - Savage Thunder Music

Some loves don’t heal—you learn to burn beautifully.
This song was born from the kind of love that consumes you, corrodes you, and yet, somehow, completes you. I didn’t want to write a tidy love song. I wanted to write about the compulsion—that pull toward someone you know will hurt you, but you chase them anyway because their chaos feels like home.

When the demons come

When the Demons Come - Savage Thunder Music

The dark doesn’t break you—it reveals you.
“When the Demons Come” was born in the quietest part of the night—the part where the noise in your head is louder than the world outside. I wrote it not to escape the dark, but to walk into it—and name every fear, every doubt, every memory I used to run from.

Where Does It Go

Where Does It Go - Savage Thunder Music

What if anger isn’t the enemy—but the part of us still waiting to be heard?”
“Where Does It Go” was the question I couldn’t stop asking myself. Not because I didn’t feel anger—but because I did, deeply, and didn’t know what to do with it. We’re taught to manage it, hide it, silence it—but never to understand it. That silence? It turns emotional bruises into generational wounds.

Beautiful Monsters

Beautiful Monsters - Savage Thunder Music

What we fear is what frees us..
The inspiration for Beautiful Monsters came from the realization that what we fear most often lives inside us. The lyrics emerged from late-night reflections, imagining fear not as something to fight—but as something to understand. Each verse is a step deeper into the dark forest of the self, until the monster is no longer an enemy—but a mirror.

There’s facts, and then there’s what’s true

There’s Facts and There’s What’s True - Savage Thunder Music

You told your side with facts. I lived mine with truth..
This song spilled out of me like a closing argument I never got to make—not in court, but in the quiet places after love ends. It came from that deeply frustrating space where one person walks away with the “facts” on paper—the clean version, the digestible version—while the other is left holding the messy, lived truth.

Still I Try

Still I Try - Savage Thunder Music

Kindness is my rebellion. I cry—and I still try..
This song was forged in the tension between despair and defiance—the soft resistance of believing in kindness in a world that keeps punishing it. I didn’t write it to sound brave. I wrote it because I’ve doubted that softness, questioned the point of hope, and wondered if gentleness is still strength. And every time I almost quit, something inside whispered: “Keep going. Try again.”

lie like the devil

Lie Like the Devil - Savage Thunder Music

You lie like the devil, but I finally saw the light..
This one came from the wreckage—when love turns out to be a weapon in disguise. I wasn’t writing about a villain in the abstract. I was pulling from the moments when someone cloaked in charm and “good intentions” uses love as a smokescreen for control, deceit, and damage.

I’m not broken I’m in pain

I’m not broken I’m in pain- Savage Thunder Music

Don’t fix me—feel this fire. I’m not broken. I’m alive in my pain..
I’m Not Broken, I’m In Pain” was written in the space between being misunderstood and being deeply felt. It came from those moments where people look at you, see you functioning, smiling even—and assume you’re okay. But inside, you’re a quiet battlefield. I wasn’t trying to write a sad song. I was trying to write an honest one.

Love begins with me

Love Begins with Me - Savage Thunder Music

Before love finds me, I’ll be whole..
I“Love Begins with Me” is a declaration I had to write to myself before I could ever sing it for anyone else. It’s the kind of truth that came from years of mistaking love for rescue—of hoping someone would complete me when I hadn’t yet claimed myself. The spark behind this song was the quiet realization: no love lasts if it replaces self-love instead of rising from it. I didn’t want to write about heartbreak or blame—I wanted to write about coming home to your own heart.

Who's Gonna Stop Me Now

Who's Gonna Stop Me Now - Savage Thunder Music

I didn’t wait for permission—I lit the match myself..
When I wrote “Who’s Gonna Stop Me Now”, I wasn’t trying to sound fearless—I was writing from the bruised, gritty place where courage actually forms. It’s about claiming your voice when nobody gives you a mic. It’s about being underestimated for so long, you start turning every doubt into fuel. This song is my declaration of becoming. Every line punches back at invisibility.

I danced with the devil and I liked it

I Danced with the Devil - Savage Thunder Music

Danger felt like love—and I chose the fire..
I Danced with the Devil, and I Liked It, was my way of telling the truth we often hide: sometimes danger feels divine. I wasn’t writing about evil in the literal sense—I was writing about that irresistible magnetic pull to someone or something that we know might destroy us, but that feels like life in the moment. This song is about surrendering to that chaos—not because it’s wise, but because it’s honest.

Love me from the mess within

The mess within - Savage Thunder Music

Real love meets you in the mess—and stays..
“Love Me From the Mess Within” is a title that didn’t just summarize the song—it revealed it. This wasn’t a song about romance in the polished, fairy-tale sense. It’s about the gritty, real kind—the kind of love that doesn’t flinch when your walls fall down. The kind that chooses you anyway. The line— “You don’t love me outside in / You love me from the mess within” —was the seed. Everything else grew from that truth.
