Where Hero And Villain Blend
INSPIRATION
The working title started out as “Lost Illusions.” It’s about the struggle between good and evil within ourselves and how we often avoid discomfort and keep truths out of sight. But deep down inside there is lingering doubt about whether we are the hero or the villain in our own story. We deny our shadows and are afraid to set them free, but to accept our inner villain’s darkness we must see it. The song is about embracing our complexities and acknowledging our flaws, and how the battle within ourselves is torn between wrong and right. Finding the truth within ourselves, is the song’s main concept, where hero and villain blend, and how accepting our villain’s love can help us achieve balance between the hero and villain we conceal. Most of us see ourselves as the hero in every situation with the other person as the bad guy but reality is that, only half of us can be right. It is more likely that each of us is a blend of hero and villain and the faster we accept that the better off we will be in finding true acceptance. The biggest obstacle to increasing your consciousness is the tendency to avoid the discomfort that comes from seeing yourself as you really are.
