INSPIRATION
Beautiful Chaos was one of our first songs that we completed. It’s slower, more reflective, more country-ish than our normal upbeat dance style. Everything we had done prior to this one, we did not like enough to complete. In the beginning, we did not know it was easier to start with a hook and title, so we started with a line that wound up in the chorus by pure chance.
The line that inspired this song was, ‘Your brand of crazy, it drives me wild,’ and continued, ‘With you I find that love has finally smiled.’ It built from there with, ‘you’re the crazy person who brings out the best in me.’
The working title for this love song started out as “Beautiful Mess” but then morphed into “Beautiful Chaos.” The lyrics compare a partner to a hurricane, a puzzle, and a riddle that drives them crazy with their wild ways, but they can’t help falling for them each day. Simultaneously they are also their safe haven, rock, and storm, that brings out the best in them.
